All the best to our wonderful assistant & volunteer
Wednesday, 26 April 2017 00:00
Last night we enjoyed a farewell dinner with our part-time personal assistant and volunteer of two years.
Imogen has worked alongside Trustees, volunteers and our rescued animals with such loving dedication, skill and enthusiasm that we know her pursuit of a veterinary career will meet with resounding success. We are very sad to lose such a generous and valuable team member but, with her huge heart, we know animals will continue to benefit from her endeavours.
All the best with your relocation and continued studies Imogen - and thank you so much for your commitment and extensive input while you were with us. You have been richly appreciated!
We look forward to seeing you again on your return visits to Auckland.
Trooper seeks a fun and loving home

Animal Re-homing volunteers have also come to love Trooper over the past few months.
Pablo has been staying at a boarding kennel for over a year now. He would thrive if he lived with our lovely volunteer, Hayley, and Hayley would love to adopt him - but this isn't possible until her mobile dog grooming van has been sold and a suitable property purchased.
If that happens before an ideal caregiver is found for him, Pablo will finally have a place to call his own.
When Wendy arrived in New Zealand for a 6 month holiday with her family, one of the first things she did was apply for a volunteering position with us. How lucky we and our animals are to have had her dog-walking and shelter help since October.
Sadly Wendy returns to the UK on Monday and will be sorely missed. However, she assures us she will return to NZ before long… and we can’t wait to welcome her back!
BON VOYAGE dear Wendy! Huge thanks for all the assistance and love you bring to humans and animals alike….
Awesome Angie creates long-line leashes

We are very grateful to Angie who has kindly been volunteering for us for 18 months now.
She has been shopping and putting her creative talents to excellent use. Angie has made six long-line leads so that our dogs can go swimming and have some extra freedom without getting into trouble.
