Baylie

baylie-face-gillian-vBaylie has now been adopted.

It’s with a joyful heart that we announce 10-year-old Baylie’s happy ending.

She is now fully immersed in a cheerful, stimulating home with an extended family of eight people and a canine friend for company. Her human friends range in age from 3 years old to 84 years… and they are all tripping over themselves for turns to feed and walk her. We are so delighted that everyone has fallen in love with our beautiful girl.

Baylie has established herself as the doggy matriarch with resident Boxer Rocco, and visiting Retriever Mikko both respecting her senior position.

Not only does Baylie have an ideal retirement home; she also has a new lease of life! Lucky Baylie, lucky family! How we love a happy ending…

Note from Baylie's original mum:
"I cannot thank you enough for all the time, energy and goodwill you have put into helping us re-home Baylie. Your care and concern for our canine companions humbles me - we are all most fortunate to have such a hard-working and kind-hearted soul as yourself working on behalf of our furry friends".

ORIGINAL ADVERT: BAYLIE SEEKS A COMFORTABLE & LOVING RETIREMENT HOME

In a few weeks, beautiful Baylie will celebrate her 10th birthday. She is a wonderful senior citizen who is looking for a loving retirement home. Sadly, due to a change of circumstances, her guardian is no longer able to give her the time and companionship she is accustomed to and deserves.

Baylie is a purebred Labrador who has always been loved and well cared for and must be allowed to sleep beside her caregiver’s bed in her new home. Baylie comes to the call, walks nicely on a lead and enjoys going to alfresco cafes with her family.

Her caregiver describes her friend as “easily the most relaxed, stable and sociable dog I have ever had... she thinks every new dog she meets is her 'new best friend'. I often have other dog owners in the dog park comment at how surprised they are at their dog's behaviour around Baylie... as their dog is normally timid or fearful around other dogs - but surprisingly relaxed in Baylie's company”.

Due to her placid nature, Baylie would be equally suited to living with an individual, a couple or a family – provided the children were old enough to treat her gently. Baylie loves affection and will purr when her tummy is being tickled. Her favourite place to be is in the water. She loves to swim into the ocean to retrieve a ball, also being brushed, pottering around in the garden with her special person, around the house, and in the car – a true companion.

Baylie needs to live with someone who is home most of the time. Are you semi-retired, working from home or working part-time? Could Baylie go to work with you if you work full time?

This special girl is registered, spayed, micro-chipped, flea and worm treated. She has never been ill and has no known health issues.

Baylie will chase cats, so her new home cannot include resident feline fur-friends. Other dogs will be fine as long as there is plenty of human love to go around.
