Rabbit: Baby (Sox)

BABY (NOW CALLED SOX)

Sox

The wild baby bunny has settled well into her new home and has formed a strong bond with her caregiver, thanks to the great ground work done by her original rescuer.

Sox loves cuddles on the lap in the mornings and climbing onto the shoulder in the evenings! She is growing well, with a very good appetite and is enjoying her veggies and hay plus a few pellets for supper.

In time, it is hoped that she will be able to cohabitate with another rescued rabbit in the same home.

BABY RABBIT NEEDS AN EXTRA SPECIAL HOME

When a cat brought a tiny wild rabbit home, the owners dropped Baby off at a Bird Rescue Centre. One of the volunteers took her home to care for her and to get her accustomed to human touch.

Baby is thriving in her new environment, eating well and endearing herself to her fosterer. Baby will need patient and experienced rabbit people to apply for her adoption. Pet shop staff have advised that rabbits tamed from the wild are hard to keep domesticated, so Baby will need lots of regular human interaction throughout her life.

She will also need to be kept safe from cats, roaming dogs and children under 6 years. If you have the experience, the patience and the time to enjoy keeping this little one interested in human company, please contact us. Thank you.
