I NEED URGENT SURGERY. PLEASE HELP.

Greetings Friends, Supporters and Followers,

I am Linda, the charity's founder/operator and need to raise $25,000 for urgent surgery. Please click on the Givealittle page below to make donations, and to learn about my injury.

The timeframe is short, and the pain is intense, so please donate whatever you are able, and please also share my post widely from our Facebook page

Thank you so much for whatever help you can offer so I may return to my animal rescue work ASAP.

If you would prefer to avoid a 5% donation loss, please donate directly to ASB account number 12-3042-0208233-00. Reference with your name and the word "Surgery". Many thanks.

AFFECTIONATE INDOOR HOME WANTED

One-year-old Dexter is a toffee and white, long haired, Ragdoll cross... with a super affectionate and confident personality.

He loves nothing better than to cuddle up with his human(s), preferably in their bed. He enjoys the company of both cats and dogs - but people are his favourite.

Along with dozens of other suffering and debilitated cats, Dexter was rescued with malnutrition and advanced cat flu from an animal hoarding situation.

Although he had multiple vet visits and his eye was treated for weeks with drops and creams, sadly, it had to be removed.

We recently gave this sweet boy a thorough vet check, a dental, groom and nail clip. He is de-sexed, micro-chipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments. He's a expert at using a litter-box in readiness for his indoor home. Dexter is a picture of health and love, and will be an absolute joy to his successful applicant.

Dexter is currently living in Auckland and is pictured with one of our wonderful foster mums, Suzie. ?

If you are able to offer Dexter a secure, strictly indoor home with plenty of love and playful Interaction, we would love to hear from you. Thank you.

JESS & MARLEY MUST STAY TOGETHER

Inquiries to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

When Jess and Marley's Mum passed away, they were left grieving and without a home. With the huge loss they have suffered, they are in need of a stable lifestyle with lots of love. Their sad little faces show their despair and confusion.

JESSIE. DOB: 7/5/12 (Just turned 10).

Adopted at 4-months-old from the Humane Society. Jessie is an extremely loyal and intuitive girl who has an uncanny ability to read her humans. (Her human siblings call her their ‘human dog’).

She has lived with cats all her life, but has shown interest in unknown cats. Sometimes she suffers from itchy skin which is suspected to be a grass allergy. However, she is currently doing well on good quality sensitive food.

Jessie is a good, alert dog who will bark to let you know something's up - but she’s pretty chilled and calm otherwise. She can be dog reactive at times, but is easily redirected by saying ‘leave the puppy’.

Jess is wary of strange men, loves water, and chasing a ball. At her age, small sessions with short throws are in her best interest now. She’s in good health for a 10-year-old girl, and weighs approx 25 kilos. She has been surrounded by love all her life, lived in a quiet, peaceful, calm home, and loves to be close to her human. All she needs now is her own person.

MARLEY. Will turn 7 in September.

He’s a neutered, white Golden Retriever. He is a failed assistance dog who was adopted when he was about 1-year-old. He failed his assistance training because he has some insecurities and anxiety issues/irrational fears. For instance, he absolutely hates and fears water, and isn’t good in public/noisy/busy places.

Marley is generally a well-mannered boy who loves people and other dogs. He’s just a big hairy loveable goofball of a boy. Marley too has lived with multiple cats and is very gentle, but has also shown interest in stranger cats. He loves to bring presents, loves his food... and will eat anything in sight.

Both dogs require regular grooming and Marley drops a lot of fur. Previous big, hairy dog experience would be an advantage.

They are both de-sexed and micro-chipped, and will be registered on the NZ Companion Animal Register. Council registrations are up to date along with vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.

Neither dog would be suitable in a house with small, noisy children. Their lives have been very unsettled and they’ve had huge upheaval since their Mum passed away. They have never been left alone all day as their Mum worked part time. Marley has some separation anxiety.

Applicants must own their home in the wider Auckland area, be fully fenced, and available for a property inspection, etc.

Thank you.
