Rodeo Demonstration on New Years Day!

Please start 2016 in a way that will help change history for abused animals in New Zealand. Start the New Year with an act of compassion.

This coming Friday 1st January the cruel rodeo circuit kicks off with the first ‘show’ at Warkworth (45 minutes north of Auckland). Join us there in a peaceful demonstration so the media has an opportunity to inform the public about this animal abuse disguised as entertainment. Other major animal organisations such as the SPCA New ZealandSAFE and Farmwatch are also fighting hard to close down this industry. The Government is slow to act, so it is public awareness that will end the barbarism. No customers, no rodeo.

Please wear a plain black top and remember this is a sombre and silent, one hour demo – no chanting, no drums or whistles, no heckling, no confrontation from us. Banners will be provided.

Be at Kowhai Reserve (on your right as you head north leaving Warkworth township) by 10.15am for a brief. We will then move on to the rodeo venue a little further north at the Dargaville Showgrounds. The demo is from 11am – 12 noon. For more info: https://www.facebook.com/events/441771152681616/

We will be leaving Browns Bay at 9.30am sharp and you are welcome to join us in convoy or to carpool. Please let us know you are attending the demo and how many friends will be joining you at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
