Seventeen-year-old Brownie was taken to a vet clinic for a lethal injection because her family was moving house and didn’t think it was fair to uproot her. She was such a head-bunting snuggle-bunny that the kind vet asked if they would sign Brownie over to the clinic’s care. They agreed, so he ran blood tests which showed nothing alarming. Brownie’s thyroid issue is managed by diet alone and she needs a dental – otherwise she is a surprisingly healthy and happy old girl.
