Citizens speak up for suffering hens

Animal Re-homing was well represented at the Stop Craddock Farms street rally last Thursday. It was the beginning of a 7-day Environment Court process where Cradock’s will try to convince the Judge that they should build NZ’s biggest caged hen prison.

Around 70 determined protestors got up at the crack of dawn to be in Auckland’s CBD by 7.45am. It was a great rally – full of synchronised chanting, inspiring speakers, supportive toots from passing cars and a wonderful variety of placards.

Huge thanks to the organisers and to our volunteers for taking the time and making the effort to fight for battery hens. You all rock! smile emoticon
