Dogs Never Forget the Ones they Love

Dogs never forget those they have loved. Please don't part with them unless you have absolutely no other choice.

So often we meet up with dogs we rescued and re-homed many years ago. Although they adore their adoptive families, once they recognize our scent, they shower us with love too.

Homeless cat finally has the care she craves

Puddytat is the latest beautiful waif to come into our care... after a lifetime of struggle as a homeless cat.

She is in the last days of her life, but we are keeping her close for a short time to shower her with the vet care, love, food, warmth, comfort and company that she clearly craved for the last 18 years.

An ultrasound, blood tests, etc revealed the worst, so we are monitoring Puddytat hour by hour to ensure that she is comfortable until her euthanasia.

Please help us with her current vet costs of $515.89. Thank you.

PLEASE HELP US WITH BEAUTIFUL MACK & PEANUT

When their elderly caregiver passed away, these lovely senior dogs faced a lethal injection. Instead, they are now looking forward to a happy retirement.

In addition to our usual costs of registrations, micro-chipping, vaccinations, collars, leads, harnesses and other necessities; senior dogs often come with extra veterinary costs.

Mack and Peanut each needed a comprehensive vet check, dental, blood test and urinalysis. On top of that, dear Mack needs to have an ultrasound and further urine tests. The total bill will be close to $1,500.

We are completely reliant on donations. Please be part of the team to help Mack and Peanut to begin their new lives. Many, many thanks everybody!

SUBMISSIONS CLOSE ON 12th OCTOBER 2018

Please share and have your say.

Mainland Poultry has applied to build a huge egg factory farm in the Waikato. Such a mammoth facility would not only cause massive animal suffering, but its potential impact on the environment is a major cause of concern for all New Zealanders.

Animals are Family Too

For every 1,000 people impacted by a natural disaster, 1,500 animals are also at risk.

This man ensured his canine family member was rescued with him and suffered minimal stress. Click on the images to watch the rescue video clip.

When we are asked about the implications of adopting a rescued animal, we advise applicants that they will have all the cost, responsibilities, shared experiences, sadness and joy that any child brings to a family.
