PARVO IS RAMPANT IN AUCKLAND

Bird Rescue Aotearoa in Green Bay, Auckland

When Raewyn, a caring octogenarian with no transport, contacted us today about a pair of tiny tuis found in her paddock, the race was on to get them to Bird Rescue Aotearoa in Green Bay, Auckland - before they closed at 3pm.

One of our lovely volunteers, Suzie, cancelled her plans and made the long drive to Dairy Flat to collect them, then to Green Bay, and then back to the North Shore.

We will all sleep better knowing the youngsters are now in expert care. Many thanks to Raewyn for contacting us, to Suzie for giving her time so generously, and to Bird Rescue Aotearoa for their incredible service. What a team! ❤️❤️❤️

17/1/24 UPDATE on Fat Cat

Fat Cat and her two Barn Cat friends will be taken to a safe refuge tomorrow. ❤️

Many thanks to everyone who shared their urgent advert, made suggestions and messaged or emailed us. You all rock!

URGENT. CATS ONLY HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY.

PLEASE SHARE ????

The elderly lady pictured with her beloved Fat Cat, is beside herself with stress.

She has been caring for Fat Cat and four other strays around her rental property for several years. She must move out this Friday, and is only permitted to take two of the cats with her to her new home.

Tragically, Fat Cat and the two shy barn cats must be gone by then or they will be killed.

All of the cats have been de-sexed and are currently living in Auckland.

Our shelter and fosterers are at capacity, so please urgently contact us if you are able to offer refuge to Fat Cat and/or the bonded pair of pretty barn cats.

17/1/24 UPDATE on GORGEOUS PUPPIES

Today 6 of these bouncing pups were surrendered to the Mangere, Auckland branch of SPCA New Zealand. Please leave them a message at (09) 256 7308.

GORGEOUS PUPPIES IN AUCKLAND - PLEASE SHARE

It was such a pleasure to be introduced to these big babies on Saturday... and to place one of their siblings into a perfect home. (See our previous post).

Twelve weeks ago, these 7 healthy pups were born into a caring family. They have been wormed every fortnight, flea treated and double vaccinated.

They are now ready for adoption into securely fenced and gated properties, with people who can commit to loving them for the next 11-15 years.

These large, mixed breed pups are a combination of Staffy, Bulldog, with likely traces of Labrador, Boxer and Mastiff in their genealogy. Click on their images for a brief description.

The landlord is demanding that the pups leave the property, so we are hoping for a quick response from a great pool of lovely inquirers.

NOTE: The pups' mother has been booked in for de-sexing later this month.smile

❤️ A NEW YEAR'S MATCH ❤️

When Kelly saw a photo of 12-week-old Kali, her heart missed beats. She instinctively knew that this wee girl would share her life.

Kali has seven beautiful brothers and sisters in urgent need of equally wonderful homes. Come back tomorrow to see photos of them.

Congratulations on your new furbaby, Kelly. May you share many adventures and endless cuddles. ❤️
