Our clever boy won prizes at the dog show

We couldn't be more proud of Pablo and his volunteer handlers Angie and Donna! Although it was a huge arena at the Easter Show with lots of dogs, people and strange sounds; our boy was calm and happy.

He won a spot prize for "Most Handsome Male" and Animal Behaviourist Jess, from Kiwi Vet Behaviour, said he was the "Best Behaved Dog". Aww Pablo!

Thank you so much to ARAN Animal Rescue NZ for inviting us to take part in this event. Now we wait for adoption applications to come in for him. Paws crossed!

If you are going to the Easter Show on Monday (17th) and would like to meet Pablo (pictured below), he will be at the ARAN Animal Rescue NZ's dog adoption and show event from 10.30am - 12noon.

Paws crossed we will find his perfect applicant there!

Preparing the shelter animals for torrential rain

With storms, torrential rain, power cuts, wind and flooding predicted, we have spent the day securing the hatches and making sure our shelter animals will be as safe and as comfortable as possible.

Please bring any animals indoors tonight. Set up toileting areas, food and water and a cosy place to sleep/hide.

Volunteer Samantha is pictured with our bunnies Ghost and Sweet Pea with their indoor storm enclosure - which is up on trestles in case of flooding.
