Remember the sweet pair of seniors, Ned and Sooty, who were facing a lethal injection unless care was offered for them?
They are thriving in their lovely foster home as you will see in the photos, but the space is needed to save other death row cats.
Please contact us if you are able to offer these senior boys a lovely safe retirement home. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Huge thanks to Craig at Paw Justice for delivering a boot-full of donated dog food to us this afternoon. Paw Justice is awesome - check out their Facebook page to see what we mean.
We always need dog, cat, rabbit and chicken food & equipment, so please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you, too, are able to help. Many thanks.
Trustee Paul is pictured with volunteers Jess and Imogen... after processing the much-needed and much appreciated donation.
What a heart-warming response when Vernie and Buddy went missing from Sanders Reserve on Friday. Our supporters were absolutely amazing!
Within minutes, Animal Management, dog pounds and vet clinics were alerted. Posters and flyers were created and put on walls, in letterboxes and handed to the public. Doors were knocked on, phone calls were made to borrow drones, e-mails sent and 58 people shared our Facebook plea in a flash. A search party was organised at the park while other individuals scoured nearby areas.
Eight hours later, when Buddy and Vernie came sloshing through the mud, miles from Sanders Reserve, everyone was overjoyed.
The boys passed their vet checks, were bathed, fed and settled into bed - absolutely exhausted. Thank you so much to Imogen and Gareth for taking care of them in these ways once they were safe.
There are too, too many of you to name, but we know who you all are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for rushing to prevent a potential disaster.
The photo shows Vernie and Buddy, soon after their rescue, with some ecstatic members of one of their search parties. They are back to their usual energetic selves and hoping for a home with people who will also love them to pieces...
Many thanks to Tanya's ARTelier for retouching the very blurred photo so skilfully.
